ABOUT THE BAND
Carnaby Street is a very popular local 60's and 70's covers band based in Leighton Buzzard and have been going for nearly 25 years.
Playing an energetic mix of well-loved classics from the late 50's, 60's and early 70's era including a bit of glam rock and some rock n' roll standards thrown in for good measure, Carnaby Street can be relied upon to get the party going and the crowd on their feet dancing along.
A great band for private and corporate functions, pubs, clubs, weddings and parties where a polished band playing all the hits from an era that everyone loves is required.
Band members are: - Tony (vocals), Jackie (vocals), Martin (lead guitar), Brian (rhythm guitar), Nick (bass) and Matt (drums).

2nd February 2026 - The End of The Line
After a very long break from FB and other posts, it is with great sadness and regret to announce that following a band meeting at the weekend, we have made the very difficult decision to disband Carnaby Street after 28 years on the road.
It has been a difficult year for several band members owning to ill health and family problems. Martin has arthritis badly in his knees and fingers and Nick has had problems with arthritis in his hands and a knee injury plus some family problems. Martin, Nick and Brian are now well into their 70's and have been finding gigging has become more and more tiring and challenging over the last couple of years so we have decided to call it a day.
Also, linked to the falling number of venues both booking live bands and no longer being able to afford to pay 6 piece bands like Carnaby Street, it has been increasingly difficult to find new venues over the last couple of years has pushed us towards making this decision.
We would like to thank all our loyal fans and followers for supporting us over the years and making us feel so loved. We have lo
ved entertaining you all and we are going to miss you all very much.
